Hi Jane,

With regard to the site I would replace the clipart camera with a photo of your camera or something. The clipart looks amateurish which your photos certainly don't. Also, and this is just personal preference, I wouldn't pop up a new page everytime you click on a photo just navigate to the photo page and go back to your menu/gallery by clicking on the picture.

The overall layout is nice though and you have some lovely photos :icon_nice
I take it you like Dragon flies :Dm

A great site, i like its simplicity, and stunning images, the flower shots are a favorite of mine too as i spend most my time doing them lol. Can i just add that the thumbnail versions seem very compressed and jagged, its not till you open the thumbnail and see the bigger image, might help to adjust the thumbnail image size a it.

I think your images are stunning!!! really really good. Almost cant believe you took them they are picture book perfect. But i feel the overall look of your website does not match the quality and style of your work. Yourk work is really top notch modern arty and professional but the website looks home done and clip artish. I am not being horrible i just really think your images are so fantastic that you deserve to be showing them in a much more stylish way.The website is letting you down and because i love your images so much i am being really honest. It would be like printing one of your images and putting them in a 99p frame from Woolworths it brings down the rest. You need it really sleek simple and elegant to bring out your fantastic images. How succesful are you in selling them? I really think you could do great stuff with some of them- fantastic really admire you!

I also think your are showing too many. You could cut it down im my opinion and just show a few more but the real fab stuff. Some images and sections looks like you have taken it for your own fun (like the squirels) but the beach shots are fab and im sure would be saleable. Maybe the two need to be seperated to make it clear what your site is. Its not clear at the moment- is it just for your own fun or are you trying to sell and get work from it. Hope you dont mind me saying all this but i was just so impressed with some of your work that i wanted to be honest.
Have a look at mine and you can have a go at me! I know its personal taste but your work in my opinion is really great and deserves a better showcase.

I have to agree with nearly all of the above, the quality of your photography far outstrips the presentation of your website. Instead of the clip art camera can your design a motif or have your name in a fancy font that you can then use for all of your stationary etc

I also do not think that background colour ( light green ) helps in showing the images to the best for you, try white or black as these are the colours that never go out of fashion.

I hope that this & all the other comments help as they are only given in a helpful way

As above please look at my site & see if it works or not if you feel that you do not like it then please comment

Good luck

Really believe in yourself and how fab your images are and get the very best you can afford and deserve!! Have fun!
Thanks! I like that thinking!!!!!!!! I'm getting there - and it's folks like y'all that are helping! You know, when it's your passion you may like stuff, but when others, especially professionals, tell you your work is good...that always helps!!!!

Thanks Kirsty & Alan...appreciate the looks & comments! I've been asked to donate some work to a silent auction for a fund raiser for the Juvinile Diabetes Reseach Foundation - I'll also be sending in business cards in hopes that folks may want to purchase something from me, too!!!!
Thanks for helping everyone!

Still not sure. Dont really like the font or colour you are arty and this to me is not showing it. I also still dont know what your website is for its not obviouse at all if its just for fun or business you have to make that clear if it is for business.
If it is for business why not look at some fine art websites see how they show off their work but if its just for fun then yes your site is fine but i still think some of your shots are just way too good for that site. Again just my opinion.
But please do answer and tell me what exactly is your site for?

UUUHHHH!!! You are so bloody talented i find it really frustrating looking at your site to be honest!! Its just such good work to be hidden inside all that writing and colour and allsorts going on Do you know how good you are!! It certainly does not show if you do!!!

I agree with Kirsty & Alan that's better than it was.
However I also agree with LTJ it still doesn't do your photography justice.
It's good advice too, look at some other websites to get ideas.

My personal opinion is that changing the look and organisation of your menus and using a different font would make a big difference to the overall look of the site.

As well as telling us whether the site is for fun or business let us know what you're using to create the site as that could have a bearing on what you can achieve as well.

:thanks: :thanks: :thanks: I truly appreciate all the comments. I'm very clueless when it comes to websites, sorry. Selling photos or even the thought that someone would want to buy one is VERY new to me! This site was created less than a year ago to show my pics to friends & family. I started there with a free site & have just recently gone to paid so I could have my own domain. I don't know html or any of that stuff...the only thing I've added is the guest book & someone had to slowly walk me through that. The options of fonts are few, but I plan on working more with the site this weekend. I'm not sure how to put this, but I don't want the site to become sterile or boring - does that make sense? I'm not sure how to put it - sorry.
My intentions were not to frustrate ya, LTJ!!!! I promise! Like I said, I'm new to this concept & don't know how to create my own.
I'm serious about my photographs but don't want to be TOO serious - I want to keep it fun & keep it a stress release - does any of this make sense????
I'll work on it more tonight (at work now!)...I'll change colors, fonts & text.
Thanks again...please don't give up on me!!!!!!!

OK...I've done some more work, but I am stuck with the templates the site offers. BUT, a friend of mine is going to call me tomorrow and talk me through creating something better!!!! Wish me luck - well, wish him luck!!!!!!!
