Try a Gaussian blur on the background to soften it? Is this what you had in mind/

Hi ray...I have moved this to another thread where you might get some more help with it...

Btw...you have posted your pic a bit too large...the largest that the forum allows is 800 pixels in length on the longest side of the image....:)

I cropped out all the space around it and darkened the background.

Ooooops....... sorry for being a little on the large size....I thought that keeping the file size under 180k would suffice...we live and learn

Earl ....thanks again for taking the trouble to demonstrate your take on a picture of mine...I like it....

What I like about the forum is that you get shown ideas that have different solutions to modifying a picture....which sends me off to explore avenues I may not have thought of........
