Probs. transfering files.

Hi gang. I'm having a problem transfering some photo files from my hard drive and an external hard drive. I've been able to download the photos from my camera and safe them to my hard drive. I can also save copies to an external hard drive. I can then save them to CD's. But when I try to save them to a memory stick, (I have tried different memory sticks, all with sufficient memory), I find that some of the photos will not transfer. I get the error message, - "File No" has not been moved. Cannot open or create folder -.
Anyone know what the problem is?

Well, my external hard drives work O.K. from the same ports. Maybe I should get the puter in for a health check.

what about filenames mate, are the filenames perhaps too long or something like that, i know thats been an issue in the past although i assume now that lengthy filenames should be ok.

I would try doing a batch rename in photoshop and then try again.
