What I would like to create in Photoshop CS2 is this:
Taking two copies of one image, one in B&W one in full colour, placing one on top of t'other, and then 'tearing' the top layer in half, diagonally, to reveal the other half underneath.
I have been on a self-teaching crash course in CS2 for the last couple of weeks and am probably looking too 'deep' for the solution.
Does anyone know a fairly quick and easy way?

Hmmmmmm have you a scanner?
Could try making a template of a torn page
on coloured card and then mixing it...

Thanks Stemmy - have just tried it quickly and it looks pretty good. Needs some finessing which I'll do tomorrow & save as a template.

Couldn?t you get the same effect if you took and duplicated the photo onto another layer and unsaturated it, put a mask on it and erased the mask you wanted to show through with color?

Where's the tear across the page though?
Thanks for the input anyway Earl - I think I've got it sorted though.
