Does anyone use any sort of search engine optimisation software to promote your website?

If so which package do you use?

Do you use any search engine optimisation companies to promote your website?

Does anyone use the webposition software or had any experience with it?

Just noticed no-one had replied to this, the best way to SEO your website is to use meta tags (lots of info on teh google) but second to none is building your google pagerank (this means spamming every website you u can with your link and a decent description or your website!!!!) If you struggle a little e-mail me your website (posted(at)gmail.com) or if its dynamic your header.php and I will SEO your website to the best of my ability for free's :)

post note wooo my 100th post yay me!!

Please give us a clue about the 'spamming' thing - how do you do this... bearing in mind I'm a relative neanderthal when it comes to this sort of thing!!!

and i reccomend giving this a qick read its fairly short and explains better than I can the Workings of PR

The golden rules of good SEO are rich , relevant content on your page(s) (ie. more text , lest Flash), with many (thousands) or inbound link form reputable sites (.edu and .gov are best) , followed by clear user navigation , and frequent site /content change(s), plus facotr in a few months for your site to bubble to the top of the list ..

Good luck

A few relevant links pointing to your site are better than thousands of irrelevant links, so links from other photographers are best. They are even better if the other photographer is involved in the same field as you, ie. if you are a wedding photographer and he or she is also a wedding photographer, for example.

That sounds a good idea; my wedding photography covers Sussex, Hampshire & Surrey. Does anyone from outside these area's wish to link to my website and I'll reciplicate with a link back to your website. Just send me a PM and we can get started.
