The big problem is shown very clearly, the deaths are slower than the births. There are far too many of us and too many randy types out there!
Sooner than latter that rapid rise in oil is going to come to a grinding halt, what then????

from what i beleive with regards to oil is that any oil pockets found at the moment and emptied, only allow around 40percent of the oil to be removed, so there is still 60% of the oil left in the pockets just we aint got technology yet to pump it back up, just now its high pressure water pumped in and it forces oil out the other end, so sometimes i reckon this fear of oil running out is a myth well in the short term anyway. Saying that im all for green energy, those windmills look amazing sat at the top of untouched Scottish hills (sarcasm lol) but if it helps keep the wee hoose cleaner and not warming up then im all for it.

I wonder if in say 100 years time people will look upon the modern wind turbine with the same affection we look upon traditional windmills? I doubt it.

I must admit I really like wind-turbines - I think they are just so ...so ..beautiful - sleek ..clean lines ...spinning away ... generating clean power ...no plutonium, uranium, coal, oil ...suits me sir.
I know, I don't have to live near one - so my view is probably a bit rose tinted. Wind is something we seem to have in a plenty - so why not use it. Stick them out in the sea if being on land is an issue.

A little bit controversial

no i must admit, seen them on the hills of scotland and thougth NOOOOOOO, but there is something artfull about them, as you say, clean, sharp and dominating landscapes, just no more rugged landscape shots of nature now.
