'Q' on 'New Posts Since Last Visit'

Is it just me, or am I exiting the forum incorrectly somehow? Every time I sign in there are masses of posts from all you good people (which is nice :)). I gets half way through and have to go off and do something - not logging out just being timed out. I know there are still a fair % to read from my last visit but when I get back and sign in again all the posts are marked as 'read' so I kinda loose track of what I've seen and what I haven't.

Is it just me? I'm a simple chap and need simple systems otherwise I get confused (being a chap ..... watch it Bindii, can hear the disparaging comment formulating in your mind from all those miles away! ;)c)

and yes its not a perfect system this 'new posts' thing as I have found that it often doesn't show up all the new posts even the first time you click on it.. which is sad cause it means that occassionaly someones thread will sink to the bottom of a forum without a reply... hence the reason I try to at least once a week click on the actual forum area and scroll down to see if someone's thread had been missed...

as for the timing out thing you can aviod this by clicking the 'remember me' box next to the sign in area... that means that you can wander off for a couple of hours etc and you will remain signed in... this will also save you the trouble of signing in everytime you visit.. if you don't want to remain signed in when you have finished with the forum just click the log out button and the computer wont remember you on your next visit... thats how I use the forum... I always click the remember me box when I sign in which leaves me logged in and I just log out when I leave... I hope this helps....:)
