anybody know how to make things appear slimmer or stretched.... ?

could not be easier;
select all, edit, transform, scale (or distort) then play about :cool:

As David suggested, but i would also be tempted to straighten the top of her Bass Drum?

Blow by Blow.
In CS2
Duplicate to new layer, and working on new layer..
Enlarge canvas either side using crop tool..
Edit - Transform - Warp....
Using the 2 handles at the top straighten backside (i think i pulled the left one up and the right one down).. Then stretched the whole thing done with the anchor at the bottom.
I then copied sections of the background either side and pasted and moved to fill in the extra blank canvas areas at the side.
Flattened and used curves white point dropper to white out the background a bit more.
