Here are four sites I've got bookmarked and keep coming back to. I'd advise only opening on a wet afternoon when you've plenty of time to explore these sites in detail.
www.lensculture.com has several audio interviews with photographers including one with one of my mentors, John Blakemore, for me the finest mono printer ever.
http://masters-of-photography.com contains biographies and work for many photographers past and present.
www.amber-online.com essays mainly about the UK north east, some really fantastic landscape and documentry work
www.djclark.com/godwin/landmarks/index the work of the late and much missed Fay Godwin, for me one of the finest landscape photographers. Unlike some who are becoming TV personalities Fay really cared for the landscape.
