Another landscape to mess with

Here you go. This is Poldu beach and hotel in Cornwall. Not a very nice day so see if you can cheer it up a bit! First the standard pic and then my example of what you can do. Just a coloured pencil drawing.

Here's my attempt.

Its a bit of a mess around, changing the sand to grass, purple skies, mist over the water, and a bolt of lightning going towards the house on the haunted hill... Thankyou for filling 10 mins of my time where I would normally sit bored

Tried to keep it natural and cleaned the rubbish up off the beach. Sky a little bluer and selectively brightened everything but the sky as it would have blownout. Everything else needed a boost.

I "played" with PS elements and have used the "neon glow" effect on the picture I think it looks really nice ? but then I like some weird things !

I was born a mile away from there and used to cycle to either that beach or nearby gunwalloe every day in the summer holidays...

Didn't know it then but the river that runs through the beach and out into the sea comes down from the farms and contains slurry from their animals.. i used to play for hours in the pools it formed in and amongst the brown sludgy stuff.. yuueeccckkk... and to think my parents used to sit there and watch....

BTW - the building on the cliff hasn't been a hotel in years... it's an old peoples home now..

Its a very nice old peoples home too. Have taken PR photos in there for the owners when they had a royal visit. Lovely place for old people to grow old, as the views are spectacular

Well I think this one has been the best of these threads so far and I think everyone has done a great job with the pic so pat yourselves on your backs! A special mention must go to copycat for his version, I nearly fell off my seat laughing!!!
I will put a new one on and hope you all will have a go again. Looking forward to seeing them.
