Not the type you take with water :russian_r
The type that you can use instead of a mouse
Do any of you use one, & if you do what size tablet
And has it made working with PS or PSP any easier

Couldn't live without mine
WACOM - Superb
Only use it when needed - mouse the rest of the time
I use the smallest there is - 5" by 4" working space
Does everything I need and can be shoved to the back of the desk when not needed.
Best way to prove you need a tablet is to say "Try signing your name with a mouse" This shows you the control you have !!
Get one - £30 from PC World

I bought one, cheap one granted, but i could NOT get used to it, trying to select around image etc was nothing but greiff, its reboxed somewhere in the cupboard of no return. I find my touchpad on my laptop serves me well, as long as its clean i find i get real close control using it. Not used a mouse in a few years now apart from sorting wifes pc.

I bought one from Argos for £30, the idea was to try one proplerly before stumping up for a decent WACOM.
It came with a mouse as well, which uses the tablet as a mat, the pen sits in a cradle close to hand.
Honestly, I love it.
Use the mouse for most stuff but the more fiddly bits, Lasso selections, air brushing etc are that much easier. Not to mention the fact that I can now sign my preview images.

I alos have a WACOM....middle of the range one...and no matter what I try I just cannot get used to the damn thing...
I guess if I perservered with it then it probably would be better than the mouse..but who has the time?

£30! I will wing my way up to PC World today and get one. I have been contemplating one for a while but was unsure I wanted to invest £3-400 on one.
Do the cheap models offer all that you need for basic work?

I have the 5 by 4 Wacom and it is all you will ever need - no problem.
I use it every day.
Use the mouse for general work but as soon as Im cloning etc. its Wacom all the way.

I use the A4 Medion, it's a rebrand for this German company. It's not pressure sensitive but that does not worry me. I simply could not be without it, especially for manipulation in PS CS2. I use the pen for nearly everything, so much more natural than a mouse. Ok it took a couple of weeks to get use to it, like all things practice makes perfect. Don't get one and expect it to revolutionise your work immediately.
In the UK I think Toys-R-Us sell Medion gear, Aldi stores have them on specials, mine was £30 and it's one of the best £30 I ever spent. :):clapping:
PS I have to disagree with Martin, if you are getting one get the biggest you can afford, IMHO as far a tablets are concerned area counts.
