The main use for my present printer (Canon i550x) is to produce greetings cards by printing my photographic images direct onto 300gsm plain surfaced pre-scored card. I have been very happy with the results so far, however after a number of years use the machine is producing prints carrying black marks (the result of a loose piece of the mechanism that I can identify but not reach) and will shortly I suspect be going toes up. I need to match or better the i550x resolution as well as its text quality and I'm looking at the Canon iP4500 or iP6700D. If I could get hold of an old-stock new/refurbished i550x I'd buy it! Any advice would be most welcome. Thanks.
