I have entered the Medium format film world with this beautiful Voigtlander Bessa 1 6x9cm. It is totally restored, working and absolutely pristine.
All that for £80.00! The lens and shutter mech. are about midrange quality for this type of camera but thats pretty good by most optical standards.
So now I have a pocket size medium format camera

Heres a few pics of the actual camera I won...

I think everybody should learn on a manual camera like this. Nothing better to teach you light than one of these.
have fun.
Remember every shot counts now, no comming back with 800 images.
LMAO !!

Yes...lmao. I'll take the K10D with me and use it as a light metre and range finder... I learned on a Pentax K1000 which is positively high tech compared to this one.

You will love it Lee. I loved my film cameras and a 6x9 slide looks awsome on a lightbox. I would recomend you buy a hand held light meter though.

Its OK... I got one. What I'm not sure about though, is how you range find and focus.

You can buy pocket range finders, probably on ebay. Some even fit on the hot shoe.

You look through a view finder and line something up, then read off the distance on a scale, dead easy.:snap2:
