Hi, I have been asked to do a wedding and it's my first one so I'm a little nervous about how to shoot. Has anyone got any tips on what's the best iso, ideas etc.

Hi,
You being paid for this or is it a favour for a friend? Will you know the people attending?
How much photographic experience do you have? You a people person or a bit shy perhaps?

Sorry i'm no help on the photograph side, but my Dad's a priest and I hear the outfall about togs after a wedding!
From what I recall him yelling about: Try and stay out of the way of processions, the priest (Mid talk) and be discrete!
Good luck!

Hi,
People person then you can get in and direct some of it. Shy, and you can stand back and do some reportage shots. Getting this right (reportage) takes a lot of experience and great timing.
Really depends on the day what ISO you would use. Outdoors look for some nice shaded areas for the portraits. Indoors or within the venue you should up the ISO to whatever it takes to get speed v focal length. If you have to resort to flash then do so. A good diffuser would help here.
make a list of what shots you "have" to get and take you time, check your results regularly. Remember to have plenty of memory and charged batteries.
Arrive early and scout through the venue for light readings and suitable locations for formals.
Try setting the lens to shoot wide open, f2.8 if you have it for some shots of individuals and then open up to F5.6 or F8 with a wider angle for the group shots.
Good luck with it. Have a backup plan if it is raining!!

Hi again george thanks for the reply, was thinking along similar lines, however slightly worried about using F2.8 in case I balls this up. I'm going to give it a shot though and check the images regulary.
Thanks again and your help is much appreciated.
