I use the Oly E330 and thought I might enquire if it would be OK to set the camera to Manual, BULB mode with flash set to SLOW 2. I use the FL50 external flash.
My shots are all in RAW, M-mode and Shutter priority. I take lots of pictures indoors, especially in church.
Any guidance here would be most helpful. Thanks alot.

It isn't a standard method to use flash with BULB mode, but you can achieve "creative" results with practise.
The main difficulty is obtaining a consistent result. With BULB, the shutter remains open as long as your finger is on the button. As you can appreciate staying consistent with time values is obviously tricky. The main control will be by using different aperture sizes. Results will be very much by trial and error, and will also be effected by amount and intensity of any existing available light. Choice of first or second curtain sync on the flash will also play a major part depending on subject and/or camera movement.
For experimentation purposes for "creative" results, I would suggest using a subject in as complete darkness as possible as far away from any background as you can. Manually focussing either on a measure or by torch-light....then experiment away. It can be fun, and interesting results are possible, but it has limited application.
