as above have been offered a canon 300d rebel 18-55m +55-200mm lens just asking would it be worth getting .The young lady who is selling has asked £250 can any one shed any light on this camera and is it worth the money .Ihave a nikon d40 at the mo or would you get more glass for nikon any advise would be realy helpful. andy.

It's an OK offer, but wouldn't touch it in your situation. Your D40 is a generation or 2 ahead of the 300d. Spend your money on a nice lens for your Nikon.
