I have got some good shots of the groom but in large number he is blinking . What is the best way in PS to take an eye from one photograph and place it into another?

Hmmmmm dodgy...

I've tried this a number of times... Very difficult to get it right...

Find the LASSO tool...

Feather it.. a little..

Cut / Paste

Mirror the pasted part..

Put your head between your legs...

Kiss it good bye...

Don't forget to use the free transform tool to resize the eyes if needed....and healing brush to blend....

Cheers guys - that is pretty much what I thought.

Fortunately I have a whole bunch of decent images as well so not a problem but I would like to correct a couple of them if I could.

Or if the eyes are partly open ----- marque tool small feather and select the eye area - filter - liquify - then use the bloat tool ( i think ?) and push them open - with patience it can make a mouth smile too !!:ok:

Best Tip for no blinking is to tell them when you are going to take the picture.

if they are expecting a picture then they wont blink.

I always say "1 - 2 - 3 " and take the shot. They get the blinks out of the way.

Little tip but I rarely get blinked pics so it works.

You've obviously never tried to photograph my wife Stemmy. (How VERY dare you!)

It doesn't matter what I try, a countdown, a sneaky shutter release, a three frame burst, with flash, without flash, shoving a rocket up her.......

I can GUARANTEE that it will take five or six attempts to get a shot with her eyes open - by which time, my daughter has wandered out of frame and started playing with her Teletubbies and the baby has started squarking for a feed!

I really don't know how she does it - even when she has no idea I am taking a photo!

It does happen. My bride on Saturday (the one ive posted) was a blinker.

Another reason I love digital.

I bet they wear contact lenses.......

When I get "Blinkers" on stage with the stage lights
they blink every couple of seconds....

Pain in the butt...

But they all wear contact lenses.....

I try and take multiple group shots. I explain it's always because SOMEONE blinks. I try and do one shot for each person in the group - plus one for luck.

Usually that's OK for less than 6 people. That way I should have at least one shot with everyone "eyes open".

I did a wedding last year - one of the bridesmaids blinked in everyone of the 6 shots - except the "one for luck" ..when the bride blinked (bless her). Luckily, the simularity of shots enabled me to easily photoshop the open eyes onto the closed eyes shots ...perfect (and phew!)

Cheers

Don't you find that some people just blink anyway,
when they know you are going to press the shutter....

I count down 3..2..1.. then pause THEN Take the shot..

I did count it down but he still blinks. Fortunately I take extra shots as well so it comes together in the group shots. It is in the PJ shots that it happens a lot though - not a lot I can do there apart from observe a little more closely! Like down to the nano-second...

Another great way is to get them to look away and then turn around to look at you
