I've just had a promo mag from Kodak; who do I hear you ask; pushing film and their new P series cameras.
Two points.
They relate the sensor size to print size, 8meg = 30"x40" and 5meg=20"x30".
Even allowing for viewing distances these seem a bit optimistic, what do you think?
These fixed lens cameras are described as 'designed for high end and professional use'. Even with Schneider lenses this also seems a bit optimistic.

Hmm, well I've had 20" x 16" out of my 10D - 6.3 MP - no problem at all...

I've done 19"x13" of the Leica's 2/3 sensor 5meg files but Kodak are saying twice that size. I must admt I'd think twice before doing a 50% crop. http://www.photography-forum.org/
