Excuse me for being ingnorant as a relative beginner, but would anybody else find a "jargon explained" section useful?
I am not a complete beginner but everything I have learned so far has been from books and the internet and taking lots of bad photos. I have never been in this lucky position to be surrounded by so many pro "togs", and weather you all realise it or not - you do have a sort of language of your own sometimes which makes short answers to some posts quite difficult to decipher when not obvious.
I have come unstuck a few times and have had to leave the site to trawl thru google results to try and make out what my slow brain could not grasp in the instant I read.
Just for an example:-"too narrow at the wide end" is still a bit confusing
and:-
"Just forget the crop factor and go for the lens range in total across your lenses" -I´m assuming this would mean instead of zooming in a bit you need to get closer?
Again, sorry for asking and I know it may sound tedious to the pros but if I didnt say anything.......well there could be a few of us who would benefit from a small glossery of pro terms---------I´m happy to spend time providing queries a bit at a time so that it wouldnt become a task one of the Mods gets lumbered with, and as a beginner I´m reading through lots of older posts anyway.......who knows - it could provide a bit of fun aswell as informing us newer to the world of "togging"
