Can any body help with advice on portrait photography with my canon 5D 0r 1D, should I use the srgb or rgb setting?

i personally set cam to srgb for my shooting, and results are great. With regards to portraits, u need to think what ur trying to capture, whether it be formal/informal candid/posed want to emphesise eyes or face, catch joy or sadness, want studio style or more natural.

Best thing to do is find willing subjects, kids are fantastic, they dont freeze up and just follow around for an hour, interact with them, speak to them, get them to make faces, blow kisses, anything.

And look through portrait examples to get an idea of posing, posture.

Hi,

Usual for printing is SRGB and in camera setting.

Use the neutral setting in the camera and shoot in RAW for the best controllable output.
