I am after a couple of cheap fittings that will alllow me to put a flashgun on to the top of a light stand and allow me to be able to tilt it up / down.

I already have a manfrotto bracket that even has a hole for an umbrella. Its okay but big and totally overbuilt for the job I want it for - a lightweight wireless lighting system.

Looking for something smaller and more compact and I don't need the umbrella hole.

The stuff I have seen so far has been quite expensive £25 each plus p&p but I'm sure there must be cheaper out there?

Keep your eye on eBay Alan. I used to have three or four of the things with my old SB-24 (wired!) multi-flash set-up.

Sadly, they all went the way they came when I went digi!!!!!!

Jessops used to do one that would fit a standard tripod thread I think.

I will have a poke around in the attic just in case for you though.

How much would you want for the 'frotto brolly holder one? I'm actually thinking of getting one of them myself!!!

Snorks, I had a good look around and couldn't find anything as cheap or as well made as the Manfrotto fitting, so I have ordered a second one from Warehouse Express, a bargain at £16.99. I have a couple of brollies so the brolly hole may come in handy at some stage. A wedding photographer I know is having a lot of success with wireless flash and I want to try it for myself.

This is the one I've just ordered another of:

You screw the top into the base of the plastic flashgun stand and away you go...

I use it with a small hama ball head - just perfect.
