panoramic photos

could anyone please let me know if you are able to turn a short mpg into a panoramic photo. i want to take a short mpg around a cylindrical object and then turn that into a great photo. any thoughts would be appreciated.

I would think you need to work the other way round take a load of photos and it is easy to make into panorama or convert to mpg if you work the other way as you indicated the picture quality would be dire.

There are lots of programmes available that can convert just about any format to any format.

Try this site for loads of different and some FREE programmes for your conversions.
You could then just stitch them together or use the automatic feature in CS3 if you have it.
