reproducing old style images

my fiance asked me to reproduce the look of an image and im not exactly sure how to go about it

can anyone recommend a method? it isn't for a specific image just would like to know how to recreate the style

It looks like a typical image in my dads family album. Like a print made in the 1960's. The colour balance is very warm, and it perhaps lacks a bit of contrast.

As a starting point warm your images up and tone down the contrast. Just have a play in PS.
