LMAO!!!!!!
It takes some geting used to - I was once compared to an Octopus Falling Out of A Tree putting my big one away!
I will try and explain it as best I can:
1: Hold the item upright by two opposing corners.
2: Place the bottom corner on the floor and using your wrists, 'bend' the top corner over and down to the bottom.
3: Twist your wrists in opposite directions and it should kind of twist itself back on itself and collapse nicely.
4: Untangle yoursefl from the cupboard you've just been hurled across the room into.
5: Apologise profusely to the client for the damage you've just caused to their home and injuries sustained by their child.
6: Go to the nearest landfill site and use it as a huge frisbee.

I find one hand in the middle of the long side and one in the middle of the short, thumb over over the top edge, now rotate both hands towards the middle while pushing down. Once you get the hang of it your sorted. Wayne

Snorks,
Being a fellow victim, I would have thought that you would appreciate that this is no laughing matter :mad2:
'LMAO' indeed
I'm gonna try your 'technique' later....btw when you say top corner, bottom corner, what exactly do you mean, given that depending on your opinion the bloody thing either has no corners or four corners
You wouldn't believe the carpert burns I've got from trying to collapse the uncollapsible :banghead:
Wayne - thanks for the tip....I'll try that too :)

i grab opposing corners pull together then twist one forward and other back whilst pushing down and twisting them, leg goes round back of right leg then pull slightly, let it fall to ground then lie on it cos it pops bloody up again. :Dm :Dm
Method One
Grab the reflector/backdrop at either short corners or both long corners. Lift the reflector/backdrop slightly. The reflector/backdrop's own weight begins the folding process.
Bring both hands together; in an overlapping motion (right hand to left shoulder, and vice-versa) tuck in the bottom half.
Method Two
Grab any corner of the reflector/backdrop. Fold it to the diagonal corner. Pick up both corners. The reflector/backdrop will resemble a large taco. Fold the bottom "front" edge under, then the bottom "rear" edge. The two corners in your hand should then be slid in under one another, in an overlapping motion (right hand to left shoulder, and vice-versa) similar to shuffling playing cards.
There is a video somwhere for them.

Cool...I did forget to mention that it only works when the sun is 6 degrees above horizon, Venus is aligned with Mars and it's a full moon.
Now sit down and have a drink.
Then do it again!
(And yes, I have been at a client's house, end of shoot, politely refusing a cup of tea while trying desperately for twenty minutes to get mine to collapse. Eventually giving up - putting the seats down in the Mondeo and stuffing the bloody thing in. Left it in the car for a week before being forced to take it out and then procceded to collapse it perfectly in around 5 seconds flat!)
