Has anyone got/used a speedlite diffuser?

I bought a speedlite diffuser kit for my 580EX after reading about it in the SWPP magazine.
Doesn't come with any instructions, just wondered if anyone's got one and which bits you'd use in what situations!?

I have the sofens diffuser, is it similar? with that you have to tip the flash head up a couple of clicks (about 45 degrees) Wayne
