I was just chatting to the vicar for my wedding gig tomorrow.
I asked him what time the church would be open and he said they usually left it open from first thing in the morning after prayers.
The exception to this was when they had a wedding a while back with ...wait for it ...flowers in the church costing .... TWENTY SEVEN THOUSAND POUNDS
I nearly fell off my chair ..£27k for FLOWERS ... bet the florist couldn't believe their luck on that one!
Same planet ..different world

Just goes to show how differrnt people live such differing lives. If that was the flower budget, what was the rest of the wedding?

Yeah, I did a wedding where they spent the best part of £15K on flowers.
I've seen better flowers. And more of them.
But no, they paid me a little more than £250 :)

It just shows we should all have a £25,000 wedding package in our portfolio :-)

I played at a bahmizvah at Claridges in London and the flower bill was over 30 grand - and that wasnt even a wedding, it was for a 13 year old boy!. I was talking to a flamenco duo who had been flown in specially from Andalucia for the night, and they performed ---wait for it---- on the dessert table - as a decoration to the food...
I did a mine sweep at the end of the night, (thats nicking the bottles that have been opened but not touched), and netted 700 quids worth of wine. I offered half of it to a waiter who caught me in the act and he said he wouldnt touch that c··p. I checked in Oddbins or Thresher next day and it was 70 quid a bottle. AND that was almost 20 years ago!!

all these prices are to me, people just being either incredibly rich or even more incredibly stupid !!!!!!:stupid:
they are no more married than someone who spends £500 on the whole wedding.
and yes Chris, i bet they did haggle and cut corners with the togin !!!!
