I have been trialling RawShooter Essentials (the free version) with a view to getting the Premium, and am not finding it particularly good.
Has anyone out there been using it for a while?
If so, can you please let me know:
a: If you find it a bit slow generating previews.
b: What it can do that CS2, Bridge and the bundled RAW converter can't.
I don't want to give up on it straight away so any advice would be appreciated.

I've used it quite a few times. I wouldn't claim to be an expert, but I have no problem with the speed. (Might be the dual processors in my PC speeding things up.) I find it far better and easier than the bundled software that came with my Pentax, and the 'copy corrections to all selected images' is very useful.
I can't compare it to Photoshop's raw tool, as I don't have full photoshop, only Elements 4. (Can't really justify the cost for hobby use)

If you are having probs with RSE try Bibble, there is a free trial period.

I find it quick and the batch processing is effective.
Like all programmes it can take a bit of getting used to.

Thanks Richard & Tony. I am not really in the market for buying new software, was just trying RSE as it came free on a CD with a mag, so I'll resist trying Bibble for now - it'll only tempt me into spending more money once the trial period is up.
I'll keep going with Bridge for now.
