Spider winner W/E 7/09/08

This weeks winner is chosen by Chris Hawkins..

Without this shot it would have been a difficult choice. Some stunning monos and macros by Karl, some cracking studio stuff by Kya and - of course - Jules's wonderful landscapes keep flowing in. I also thought one of my own shots was pretty good too :-)

However, this shot breaks the mould a little. It's got a mesmerising composition, natural symmetry and great colour. A wonderful shot!

It is indeed a cracking picture and an inspiration to all beginners that you don't need a massive amount of experience in photography to have a good eye for a cracking image. I'm not a naturally creative person but seeing some of the ideas that have been posted on here has certainly helped.
