What size card for S9600

Hi,

I already have a 4GB CF card for my Fuji S9600 - just think I need another for holidays and when away from home (seems to be alot these days!).

Was looking at getting a 8gb CF card from fleabay for aroung £20.

I have had on other gadgets that sometimes, the gadget doesn't work with higher volume storage and/or certain brands and speeds are a no-no.

Will the S9600 work OK with a standard 8gb CF card? What should I look out for? Anything better?

I personally would prefer 2 4GB cards in stead of one 8GB, to spread the chances of disaster if one should happen to breakdown.
Besides, it's not like they're too massive to carry around all the time...

Searched on fleabay put in search for 4gb CF card Fuji and the price jumps to over £20!

Is there something specific about CF cards for cameras - particularly Fuji?

Which is better? CF or XD for data transfer speeds?

Can you have both a XD and CF card in the camera at the same time?

I use the same camera, I only have 2 x 2GB XD cards but I don't go shooting for a longer amount of time.

I believe XD are better for write speeds.
