(perhaps wrong forum location)
I am looking to open my own studio and hopefully get a prince's trust loan to help me do so amd i am trying to find the best possible backdrop.
i came across this item
http://img133.imageshack.us/img133/540/studiood7.jpg
which is 20"x20"x15" i think
obviously for product photography
but i was wondering how i would go about obtaining this 15ft wide?
is there anywhere i could get this made?
any help appreciated.

I would think you would be better getting a range or coloured rolls - colourama type things.
Not sure how you can change the colour of the backdrop on that contraption, but for portrait and fashion stuff - then coloured rolls will give you more room for creativity.
The small one looks ok for product toggin.

LMAO @ Bandit.
It looks like a modular construction Rich. Could be quite portable if you needed it to be.

I guess fitting the thing through a standard door would be kinda tricky:acute:
I'v visited a studio with a backdrop made of curved ply wood painted white. It was very nice.
However I see a need for background rolls as White is not the only colour your going to use. For this reason I would consider a conventional background roll system to go with it. with a selection of colourama paper rolls too.

Hi, I got a lasolite white vinyl backdrop, and use it for most things from poeple to products, was about £180 but well worth it, It's great and portable, it's 3m wide and 6m long, you can also wipe it down with a wet cloth after kids with grubby feet have been running all over it.
Here it is and some sample pics I took using it.
