Did anyone go to the flower show this year?
And if so do you have to have a permit to photograph the gardens or can you just shoot? Because i was thinking of going next year.
Thanks

I believe it's fine to just go and shoot, only if you look REALLY professional with loads of gear they might take offence..
One thing though, the place is mobed with the purple rinse bridage,
loads of oldies, so highly unlikely you'll get a clear shot of anything
as such, like a full stand...
You might get a good shot ot two of flowers and that, some
close up if you ask the stall holders nicely... :)

'loads of oldies' 'blue rinse brigade' um, you get older each day George and one day you'll get a bus pass. :tease:
The last time I went (2 years ago) it was full of 30+ bright young things who had no concideration for any others than themselves, spent most of the time shouting down their mobiles and generally being a pain in the a**.
Seriously Kirsty be prepared for long lines to get in or for food/drink and 'cos it's popular with all age groups it will be very crowded.
I had no problem taking pictures using my Leica D2, my friend had a 10D and was asked twice if he was a pro with permission to take pics. Laugh is he's not a pro and I am. One reason I keep the Leica, big black cameras with big lenses can raise issues at this sort of event 'cos you are on private land so do not have an undisputted right to take pictures.
