Kodak, Ilford, Kentmere have all just put the prices of film or paper up by between 3% and 17%, increases are expected from Fuji.
Pretty obvious, sales dip, production therefore costs more so you pay more.
How many more years do you give mass sales of film?

Film jeez, nothing but bad experiences with film, for instance, not getting it fastend in camera right and taking 300 photos wondering why i wasnt getting only 36.

Im even throwing my film camera up onto ebay this week.

Why not put the details on the 'Special offers' board? There may be a student or someone who just wants to try film lurking out there.

yes this was expected also they need to make another profit! :)

If you have a good film camera i would seriously consider

KEEPING IT!

why in a few years everybody will have gone digital and your

camera will be worth something!

About two years ago I enquired what the trade in value of a well used but regularly serviced 500C 'blad with 80mm T*, and matched back etc was, Jessops and the like were not interested, specialist pro dealers offered between £100 and £150 and on e-baythey were goig for c£400. I've kept it.
It will take a long time for film cameras, even 'blads, to get any worth, my grandson may be able to get a reasonable bob or two for it in 20 years time as a lot of them will have been binned. Thats how antiques gain value.
Interesting that this 20+year old camera is still fully funtional, will accept the latest 500 series lenses and even a digital back!! Maybe I should not have been seduced by Oly,Nikon and Leica into digital cameras but then when that happened Hassy did not have a sensibly priced back(the backs are still a bit pricey).
