Im thinking of investing in some form of starter studio lighting for some portrait work, does anyone have any suggestions as to what would be a decent starter kit and any ancillaries i may require, triggers etc. If it helps i currently have a d80 and sb600 flashgun.

Hi,
Look at the interfit Mk ll starter studio. Buy a bag with it an get a wireless trigger off E-bay for a few quid.
Model is ex150 Mk ll. I also bought the bag with it and that makes the whole thing truly portable.

Hi, You might want to have a look at prolinestudio lights. They also have triggers and a good range of accessories. I have to declare that I am bias, as the company is owned by a friend of mine, but that aside it really is a great product. If you do get a one their kits, just make sure the accessories have the new locking system; it's much better than the old screw type. Rob.

I'll second that recommendation from George...the cardboard box starts falling apart after a bit of use, so, as suggested by George, a carry-bag would be a wise investment.
