grey skies - winter photo`s

i really want to get out with camera at the moment... but problem is when i come home and look at the photo`s they are ruined by the dull and grey skies... is there any way i can edit the shy in photoshop to look half good?

it could be the best photo in the world but still ruined by the sky...

Hi Laura

if you were okay with photoshop you could drop in a completely new sky.Alternatively,if you take your images in raw you could take a set of bracketed shots and do aHDR or mabe create an exposure for the sky to brighten it seperate from the forground and using a layer mask combine them and paint the brighter sky in.
