Hi All,

Not been on as much as usual over the last couple of weeks but this was due to some technical problems.

My newly built PC was fitted with a high spec (costly) system hard drive which failed. It took some time to realise that that the fault was in the hard drive and not some software or virus type problem.

Western Digital have now replaced the drive and the new version is now up and running. Hopefully that is the problems rectified.

I should be able to get all my software sorted out over the next few days and hopefully get posting again.

Yea, I know, you never knew I was away!!:laugh1:

Hi,

Nothing lost as all backed up but it is a pain having to reinstall everything and then get all the serial numbers or licences back in.

It would be the system drive!

Thanks - appreciated.:ok:

Always horrible when the computer breaks down...

I do wonder what brand of drives have what percentage of failures within the first 3 years.... I've never had much luck with Maxtor drives myself.
