Hello,

Looking for advice for best paper to use with an Epson r2400 for colour prints, to get good quality colour rendition etc. Small sizes and up to A4 and A3 too.

Am okay for black and white now, but that took so frustratingly long to find what I was looking for :(x (and cost me a small fortune trying x number of different papers to test) I kind of baulk at the thought of going through all that again.

Which ones would anyone on here recommend?

I realize the right one may be pricey so please don't hold back from any suggestions.

Thank you very much in advance to anyone who can help :)

I think you will find that quite a few on here have the same printer (including me) and I would suggest for the important jobs you use genuine epson paper as it is (in my opinion)
the best available.

Having said that I also use the photo glossy paper available at Staples.

I have the one below the R2400-the R1800 and Im with Bry.Ive always used proper epson stuff when I did really important pikkies.I wasnt as picky when I printed my assignment pikkies for the course because the tutor also had original jpegs of the images so cheaper paper was okay.

Thank you both for your input. Interesting and welcome advice.
Had wondered about other fine art papers, (Ilford etc.), but will test the different Epsons now to find the best one for me.

Hi Olivia

Ive used Hannuemel(sorry about the spelling) paper when I did the photos for my sister and brother-in law's 25th wedding aniversary. When I got the paper I got a specific profile for the paper.I cant remember now where I got the paper from but it was quite expensive in A3.It did however print out beautifully and is supposed to be museum grade paper-meaning it wont fade in direct sunlight and has the reflective qualities needed to be used to print images that will be framed and mounted on a wall.

worth investigating.

What finish are you after? I'm guessing its gonna be a gloss? I have a 2400 and only use a Lustre finish papers... I've always found the papers from Fotospeed (http://www.fotospeed.com) to be of good long-life quality... they have a vast range and are happy to send out samples!
