I subscribe to three photographic mags and one design.
'Leica Foto International' for the photo essays and surprisingly impartial reviews.
'Balck and White Photography', the UK one, which is devoted to monochrome work no matter how it's produced.
'8' which is pretty well the only mag devoted to photojournalism and carries some very powerful stories in the E J Smith tradition.
The design mag is 'Digit' which has some excelent ideas articals and often indepth PS advice and tricks.
I also get, courtesy of being a member of the relevent body, these two. The RPS journal which is quite bland, very good reproduction of high quality but 'nice' pictures that chalenge no one.
'Professional Image Maker' is great if you are into the finer points of colour management which is it's pet subject, I'll admit most of this is way over my balding head.
I find the majority of photo mags in the UK boring, they are gear and technique biased with the same subjects appearing at the same time of the year. The gear reviewers, with a couple of exceptions, do not seem to have an indepth knowledge of the development of cameras. I remember one who spent a couple of long paras explaing what roll film was, it was obvious they had not used roll film before this test.
