Is there a way to run a batch operation on RAW files and save all the resulting files as tif?
I find I'm usually opening my RAW files, changing one setting and saving the file as a TIF, it seems I'm doing it the long way.

Yup there is. Open one RAW file into PS and make an action of what you're changing. Then fire up Bridge, select all the photos you want to edit, go to tools>photoshop>batch then in the window that pops up you can apply actions and select tiff as the file type. If you need more in depth instructions, give me a hollar.

If you are making the same adjustments to a batch of RAW files, open the first into ACR andf adjust it. Click done.
Open ALL the files into ACR and select them all.
Using the hidden drop-down menu (top right above the sliders) select 'Use previous Conversion) this will apply those settins to all the files.
Then go to bottom left of ACR and click Save File - select in the dialogue box what you want (rename, renumber, file type to save as etc) and hit OK.
Have a cup of tea.

Thanks both for the replies.
I couldn't quite get recording the action Matt, as by time RAW was in PS the setting I wanted was done.
Anyhoo, the bridge instruction I did use successfully.
Selected all the RAWs I wanted in bridge, right clicked and Open, then I had them all as thumbnails down the side. Select all, apply my setting, click Save Images, and have my cup of tea. Bodacious!!
