Same sex marriages. The first day today.

I dont think this is the place to discuss wether you agree or not. I just thought we could discuss the business side.

Is it more people into our market?

Is it more a female photographers market or a males?

It could be big business. Gay couples are generaly regarded as having loads of dispensable income.

What do you think???

I've got a few gay (male and female) friends working in theatre esp, so I'd be happy to do weddings for them, same rules apply and all that...

For most, they do like to be over the top and more "bigger than life" in most things they do, but don't let that put you off...

I've got friends who are normal couples, not the "raving queens" (from their own mouths) that you mostly see on TV..

Life is allsorts... Allsorts make a world...

But on a more serious note... I'd be careful of advertising the fact, you may find that you miss out on church weddings should the person in charge take offence that you have done a gay wedding.... Reglious types can get a bit funny like that...

Strange when you should "love thy neighbour"...

These sort of ceremonies have been going on for ages, they just did not have any legal standing but I always felt they had meaning to the couple. I covered several same gender commitment ceremonies, in the main they were more fun than 'normal' weddings, far less hangups as to what's correct.
Anyway why turn good money away??
Here are a few shots from one such event.

I found most couples did not take any notice and I never had a problem with any clergy but then maybe I was lucky. The shots above were on my web site and in my leaflets.
