hi all,

my partner has recently acquired a samsung netbook. because of the low resolution screen (1024 x 600) it seems most editing software such as Canon's DPP will not run.

does anyone know of some raw editing software that will run on such a low res screen?

Netbooks are great the only problem is the hardware installed in some of them for photo editing. What about adobe lightroom? Ive got a Acer Aspire One netbook will have to install it and give it a try.

If lightroom works just go for it. I have just found out the joys of this programme and it is so user friendly. Makes editing a pleasure.

Will lightroom run faster than PS CS3? My laptop, despite having nothing else on it and being told when I bought it that it was up for the job opens RAW files at a speed at which I could probably draw the images! VERY frustrating when working on site, which is actually the only time I use it, so VERY frustrating all of the time!
