Hello all,
I am a budding photographer and have a good collection of photographs clicked in last 1 year. Now i am worried about their security on my Mac. I am not so favorable for external hard drive. I'm looking for recommendations for the best online backup software. My data is around 50GB.
Please suggest a secure program/site that will work well for this need?

If you Google 'online backup' & you'll get loads of choices.
But personally the one I intend to use is: http://www.carbonite.com
$55 per year per computer - unlimited data storage - Mac client - seems a great deal to me.
But I will still make local (raid array local hard-drives) & off-site backups (DVDs).
Hope that helps.

I would still advise backup onto dvd/cd's and a portable hardrive as the data online can get lost just the same as on your pc

Online backup services gives scheduled automatic incremental backups. Also few services gives mobile access too. You can access your files anytime from anywhere. So why not go for such automatic backup services rather than taking manual backups everytime. Any tried and tested option for mobile access, especially for mobile backup?

I am currently using a free version of BackupandShare. com and it is working just fine for my Blackberry. I can take incremental backup either daily or weekly as per my schedule.
