I like this.... the figures and the overall warmth are great, just think there could have been something more appealing than the plastic bottles etc..... lovely feel to the image............. looking forward to the next

2nd Thouight: "Mischievous critters"

Sonmewhere between the two - I like the atmosphere, a feeling of cheeky goblins in some dark corner of Hogwarts getting up to mischief, but theer aer too many distracting colours in the background.

Nice use of the tea light illunination.

It's a first attempt at still life, lots to learn! But, I did enjoy being 'in control' of the shot, so I think its definitely something I shall persevere with.

Yep, and you don't need much room, or expensive lights, or backdrops

That's lovely. I can almost see it on the front of a card.

Great depth of field

My only crit would be the other 'goblin' directly behind the foreground goblin which is slightly distracting - try and keep the negative space around the subject as clean as possible.

2nd shot is way cool........ great atmosphere........ is there nuthin you cant do Waif !!!

once went to a cam club evening on "table top" and there are togs who build elaborate sets to photograph ... moonscapes forests etc etc.... its an all year round possibility so maybe thats the appeal.

Great first attempts Waif. Yes the o/f goblin in the second shot is a distraction but when you've worn pengwin out having fun you can deal with that in PS.
