An 'improved version' well it certainly seems to deliver more realistic images with less fiddling but retaining the wide dynamic range.
The 'tone mapping' has been replaced with 'improve HDR' and two options.
I could only get an acceptable image using 'smooth adaption'. Also it now seems to dislike overexposed frames.
Two examples using my usual two reference files, without PS adjustment in the top image and with some PS adjustment in the second. .
