Thought I would post this one in here because I know it's not the best of shots and didn't want Simon cowell tearing me a new hole :tease: but....I'm proud of this one because I sat for half hour trying to chase the little bu**er lol....sort of got him in the end!...Oh and I was at the 150mm end handheld lol

wow, love the splash of colour against the more natural earthly colours of background, not sure about size of the wee beastie, hard to make out, but err (non simon cowell bit ) I love it.

Very well done, if this is a Dansel fly it's about 50/60mm long and darts about like a mad thing. I've spent the best part of an hour trying to catch one of these in flight this afternoon with absolutly no sucess.

Thankyou all....Tony I'm pretty sure it is a Damsel as it's much smaller than a dragonfly like you said 50 or 60mm...he was really hard to catch as Tony said they dart about like the clappers...was like trying to catch a fly with chopsticks....thought I'd post a bigger pic of where I was when I found them which was on the River Wye just outside Ross on Wye.

nice shot mate, you've really captured the peace of the Herefordshire landscape. Do I detect a touch of HDR?

The shadow of a damsel fly. that's really nice Tony. Damsels are hard to catch (ooer) I've never managed it, but I've never seen such a delicate shadow on a leaf like that.
