It is my first attempt and a bit basic.

I named it artan because my late dad was called arthur and my late mum was called ann, so i used half their names as a tribute to them for all the love they gave me.

Who are smugmug is that a design company?

You should buy your company name as a Domain Name then you can post any design of website you want and not be limited to what the design company offers.

I get loads of phonecalls every year from new website designers who will do you a website for free just so that they can have some work in their portfolio to show people.

Remember if you dont have a studio like Lydia our websites are our shop window. They should be easy to get around even for people who are not familiar with the internet.

I get about one third of all my enquiries from the website. That is why I spend so long trying to get it the best I can.

Hi Martin

Smugmug is the design company

I found them when i searched for website designers and they only cost $99,
which was about £60 at the time, template set up and seemed easy enough to upload my photographs, so i went for it, although i am quite disappointed
when i compare it to other websites and also i just wanted it to be named www.artanphotography.com instead of including smugmug.

I would gladly be a guinea pig for a website designers portfolio!

by the way, isnt lydias studio fantastic and full of beautiful images.
