Hello all..

I'll just go straight to the point...I recently bought a Canon Pixma MP560 but I can't get my head around profiles!!! First of all, could anyone with a similar printer teach me how can I turn off colour management in the printer software so that I can manage it in photoshop? I seriously cant find it, I did however found something that says "Disable the color profile setting of the application software" which I'm assuming will do the opposite of what I want?

I've been trying to print some bw shots but it isnt just right, my monitor was off so everything was a mess , got around that but now my bw prints have a red cast on them its very subtle but its there, I've checked the colours in PS and they really are black and white so it can't be anything with the shot...I've printed the same shot a couple of times now changing settings here and there but its still not right....Could it be anything other than a conflict between the printer's driver and PS? I've done a nozzle check and it seems ok

:thanks:

From the print menu in photoshop there is an option for photoshop to handle the colours.

This is a difficult topic even for experienced togs. I don't know the printer. You should calibrtae your monitor. Try forcing the printer to use grey inks only.

Yes Chaz, but it also says I should disable colour management in the printer and thats what I cant seem to find a way to do, Chris I'm pretty sure its not a monitor thing anymore and I dont know how to force the printer to use grey inks, I ticked a box that said greyscale printing but nothings changed...
