I'm with micronicos and can 100% vouch for their customer service.
No infuriating "Press 1 for customer service - Press 2 for .........etc"
Ring the number - speak to a human being (In this country).
If they can put up with me they can help anybody !!!!
Sounds a good deal too !!

As I understand it it's a standard for web design to conform to, Maybe that Scot's Penquin will be able to enlighten us. Must admitt I could not follow a lot of it and for a site promoting, I think, a web standard the design and navigation is not so hot.

The W3C standards do not, unfortunately, control the design of the web sites. They are there to try to keep the underlying code 'legal'. This means that it should be able to be viewed in any browser that supports the technology used to created the site. On the reverse side, it is perfectly feasible to create a good looking site without following the standards, as it is to create a bad looking site whilst following the standards.
I use valid xHTML and CSS whenever possible, to ensure that the sites I create look and feel the way I designed them on any xHTML capable browser (IE, Netscape, Firefox, Opera and Safari).
In theory, it should also mean that sites can depreciate correctly on older browsers (possibly with the exception of IE 5, which does not always interpret CSS correctly). It is more important when people are viewing sites with the images disabled in their browser, or even using a text only browser, such as Lynx.
It is not a crime to display the W3C validation logo on a page that does not validate, but the W3C Faq does state this:
Web content providers are granted the right to use the "W3C valid" logo on pages that pass validation (through the use of the W3C Markup Validator) for the W3C technology represented by the icon, and only on pages that pass validation. The icon must be used as a link to revalidate the Web page, thus providing a way to verify the page author's assertion that it passed validation.
This is a way to ensure that the site has the correct underlying code and conforms to the standards, like I said though, it is no guarantee that the site looks good or is easy to navigate.

Web Accessability is important for people with disabilities.....
It doesn't really apply to many others - a site that is WAI compliant should be 'accessible by all' - this only really applies to our Government clients that have to pass certain accessability tests.
W3C is a standard of coding that most developers abide by......Our site has recently had some adaptions which is currently why we have some failures.
Its not really something you have to worry your pretty little head about Bindii.
Don't mention any discounts 'stagephotography.co.uk' until you have a quote - that way you know the offer is genuine and honest. :clapping:

You did NOT just say that!!! Jeez! :diablo:
And actually...
'Web for Everyone
The social value of the Web is that it enables human communication, commerce, and opportunities to share knowledge. One of W3C's primary goals is to make these benefits available to all people, whatever their hardware, software, network infrastructure, native language, culture, geographical location, or physical or mental ability.'
This is not primarily about disability.... note 'whatever their hardware, software etc etc.'

It basically means that that failed 22 validations on their site. For a web design company they probably should at least ensure that their site is completely error free before they put that link on it.
A nice offer though all the same. Altough I am not convinced the service offered is suitable for high end photographers, as the diskspace simply isnt there unless you are prepared to pay £500 for a minimum of years?
I would recommend someone like DIYHOST.co.uk who offer as their basic package (£5 a month) 2GB of disk and 30GB of bandwidth. I have been with them for the last 4 years (this package would cost about £30 a month with you?)
