I have often thought that there must be a lot of members like myself who do not use Photoshop to edit their pictures.
In my "members profile" I have to put beginner to the question "experience in photoshop" simply because I have never used it.
If the question were to ask "experience in editing pictures" then I would have to answer "advanced"
Do you think that this question should be rephrased?
Cheers,
Jim.

I assumed that most photo editing was using photoshop or a similar program, but that's probably due to my age and background.
How did people edit photos before digital software?

The question is probably generic Jim, if you are advanced in say Gimp or Paintshop or any similar platform then you are advanced in editing, simples :)

I recall this being raised before, and conclusion was as Chaz says, it does really mean editing experience. It was decided then to leave as it is though rather than rephrase.

Chaz' answer does rely on people making an assumption, and we all know what happens when we do that!
It's surely a simple change in one line of code on the forum backend?
Cant be hard for Chris to change that - takes out any guess work and ambiguity??

I assumed the question was generic, like hoovering the carpet say. I'll always be a beginner in any medium of photo manipulation anyhow:)
