Hi Renee,

I worked with your photos real quick just to give you one way of fixing what you want fixed on it. I also use PS7 and this is what I did to get what I think you?re looking for.

1. Open photo.
2. Using lasso tool I divided the light from the dark. (The dancing ants around the lighted area.) Because your photo was small I set the feathering at 2px. The bigger the file the more feathering you might want to have.
3. Then I went to Image-Adjustments-Color balance and worked with the blue first then the other colors to the desired look.
4. Then I worked with the hue/saturation to add some more.
5. Then I Inversed the selection so the dark portion of the photo had the dancing ants.
6. Adjusted the levels to make that area brighter.
7. Then Deselect and you should have what you?re looking for.

Hi Renee,
I have attached a quick copy of your picture. Unfortunately I cannot do much at mo as had wrist surgery on Tuesday...my husband will kill me if he finds me doing this LOL
A very good action to use in these situations is one by Katrin Eismann for fill flash. Occasionally it will shut down PS but if I open up again and try once more it seems to work. It duplicates the image and then you adjust opacity to get the effect you want. I have run it twice on your image and what it needs now is use of a mask to bring back shadow detail in the folds of the dress, but you get the idea I am sure. I'd crop a lot of the sky as that will be more difficult to correct. PM me and I will send the action, I think it is available on www.actioncentral.com but don't quote me on that:-) Katrin Eismann's book is brilliant too.

The others have sorted the pics for you and i cant add to their fine efforts.....
but to save time next time.

........... i would have given those shots a full stop extra exposure compensation +1 to allow for the meter thinking "o gosh that area(sky) is bright i had better reduce the exposure" and i bet the result would need very little PS editing
