selective colour

whats the forum user's best way they do selective colouring ?

i desaturate image then use history brush zoomed in to bring back colour, pretty quick and simple.

I usually create 2 layers, convert the top one to mono, then use a transparency mask to show the colour of the lower image through the top layer.
